Today was a sad day at the Cotting home. Wendy’s cat since medical school,Benjamin, has been sick for a while with irritable bowl. He had begun to get sicker, and today Wendy took him to the vet to be put to sleep.

Cottings move west

Mia is here!
Mia June Cotting was born today. She was born at 1444. She measured 5 lbs 13 oz and 19 inches. Wendy and Mia are both doing great. They will be going home in a couple of days. We are very excited to have her join our family.
Jason Starts Paramedic School
Today Jason started Paramedic School at the University of Utah. The program will run through some time in November and is expected to be very tough. We hope that this will help Jason get a job with a fire department once he has his paramedic certification.
Results from Jason’s Fire Academy
Jason found out today that he has passed all of his exams for his fire academy. This means he will now have his certifications for Utah Firefighter I&II as well as his HazMat certifications. This will allow him to apply to more fire departments here in Utah as most of them require you to have […]
Paramedic School
Jason got a phone call today letting him know that he was accepted into the Paramedic School Program at the University of Utah. It is sponsored by the Salt Lake City Fire Department. Classes begin January 14th, about a week before our new baby girl is due.
Thanksgiving 2012
Today Wendy and Jason were invited to Todd and Jennifer Shrum’s house for Thanksgiving. We had a good time, and the food was delicious. This will be our last Thanksgiving for just the two of us. Next year, maybe we can puree some turkey to give to our daughter.
Fire Academy
Jason started his fire academy today that is being taught by West Valley City. This will get Jason his Firefighter certifications so he can apply to more departments in the future. We are hoping this will help him get on a fire department sooner. The academy will last until December.
